chromium browser

Here's how I installed the Chromium browser in Mepis 8 and in Mint Elyssa:

- Went to http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-linux/

- Clicked on the latest build.

- Downloaded chrome-linux.zip.

- Moved it to my home directory.

- Opened Konqueror. Right-clicked on chrome-linux.zip > clicked on Extract > clicked on Extract here.

- Went into ~/chrome-linux and clicked on the chrome executable file. This starts the Chromium browser. (Or, I can run it from the terminal, using ~/chrome-linux/chrome).

Added these extensions: Adthwart, Xmarks, 1-ClickWeather for Chrome, and Flashblock. Added a theme, tweaked my settings, created entries for Chromium in the respective menus, and everything's good to go!
