This guy, Arindam Sen, has been cranking out the reviews. Some of the reviews don't go into a lot of detail, but all of the ones I've looked at so far seem to provide a nice glimpse of the distro in question.
In many of his reviews, he includes a chart listing "Evaluation Parameters." Nice touch! Here's a shot of the one from his review of Solus 1.2:
